When joining plates which are fitted with the new centring unit from norelem, the balls on the cone lay lightly in the bush. When a down force is applied, the precision balls are pressed onto the cone surface and the faces of the plates align with each other. The balls can only deform between the surfaces of the cone and bush within their elastic limit, and so centre both parts with highest precision. The only prerequisite for the system to function optimally is the exact installation depth of the bush. This ensures that the balls are always only deformed within their plastic range. |
