The flat head screw with tolerance compensation is a screw for connecting two components while permitting a desired movement of the components in relation to each other (floating joint). The flat head screw consists of three components: Bolt, plain bearing and O-ring. The plain bearing compresses the O-ring by a pre-defined dimension when the bolt is screwed into the hole. The plain bearing will now be seated under the bolt head. The travel is accordingly limited by the installation dimension. This ensures a floating support with an almost play-free installation. The floating joint is limited to a defined dimension. Precise adherence to the tolerances of components in production and time-consuming alignment work are no longer necessary.
