Less effort through maintenance-free components

Machine elements such as spur and bevel gear drives, whose gear wheels are usually made of steel, and therefore susceptible to corrosion, can be manufactured as alternative maintenance-free components. For example, norelem has lightweight, rustproof plastic gearwheels on offer that require little to no maintenance. They are self-lubricating, very quiet running and can be used in a wide range of applications. This reduces the overall need for repairs. Bronze guide bushes with graphite inserts from the norelem range also reduce the need for repairs: the bearing elements are also maintenance-free and low-wearing. The graphite inserts provide lifelong lubrication and only require follow-up treatment under extreme loads and higher traverse speeds.

High-quality standard components

Maintenance costs in mechanical engineering can be reduced overall by using high-quality, high-performance standard components. Their use is particularly worthwhile where high loads, stresses and forces have to be handled, e.g. in automated linear movements. Linear actuators can absorb the highest forces in all directions if they are correctly configured and aligned. The norelem comprehensive range includes linear actuators in standard lengths with travel from 200 to 1500 mm. The standard element specialists can also provide customer specific special lengths. For roller chains and sprocket applications, e.g. in fields such as material transport, packaging and agriculture, norelem also offers duplex or triplex versions as an alternative to the single types. The efficiency of the duplex roller chains and sprockets achieves 1.75 times the efficiency of a single chain, the triplex roller chain 2.5 times.
