| Couplings from norelem transfer torque from one shaft to another. In machine construction, they are used to connect diverse individual components such as the motor, gearbox and slave machine and are therefore frequently used in machine tool construction, servo drive technology and automation. |

| norelem has more than 100 different coupling types on offer, 98% of which are available ex-works. Couplings also have other properties depending on the type: |
- Compensation of axial, radial and angular misalignment of shafts
- Dampening vibrations
- Electrically insulating.

Rigid couplings join inline shafts.
| Rigid couplings transmit high torques torsionally rigid and backlash-free and are therefore frequently used when there are no shaft displacements or misalignments. They are wear and maintenance free. The fastening screws have locking devices to prevent loosening through vibrations so that the torque can be safely transmitted. |

| norelem has two different types of rigid coupling on offer: one-piece and two-piece. Both versions are available in steel or stainless steel and can withstand speeds up to 4,000 rpm. They an be used in a temperature range between -40° C and +175° C and can be ordered with an ID up to 50 mm. |
