norelem expands its product range – The new product group "Clamping Technology" from norelem set new standards with the 5-axis clamping system compact. The clamping system enables easy access to the workpiece from all sides. Complex components can be optimally machined and setup times are reduced.

The 5-axis clamping system compact is characterised by ease of operation and high flexibility. By using the scale on the base, the jaws can be quickly adjusted to new workpieces. Small and large workpieces can be securely held with the integrated draw-down function. The symmetrical construction of the 5-axis clamping system means that workpieces are always centred.
The clamping system enables vibration-free machining with highest speeds and feeds with only a very few protruding edges. Even workpieces of up to 2000 mm high do not vibrate. Additionally, the 5-axis clamping system guarantees ideal tool accessibility from all sides allowing short, standard cutting tools to be used.
The module system was specially developed for use on 5-axis machines so that the workpiece or component can be positively connected to the 5-axis module system. The modular building-block system eases assembly for the operator. The clamping system can be quickly reconfigured to suit other workpieces or fixtures. Another advantage is the positioning of the traction spindle directly under the workpiece rest. This generates a very short force flow when clamping the workpiece, which means that the clamping jaws do not spread under load and stress to the machine table is prevented.
The 5-axis clamping system can be mounted on T-slot tables, grid systems and, when an adapter flange is used on conventional zero-point systems. Clamping widths of 20 to 320 mm by a clamping depth of 3 to 20 mm using seating ledges are possible with this new clamping technology. By using the basic modules, add-on modules and other accessories, the user has the possibility to assemble an individual clamping system.
