Formula Student Test Event at Bilster Berg

In 2019 we have: A new name, the same support.

This year norelem will be active as main sponsor instead of organiser and, together with the VDI Formula Student Team invites teams from all over Germany to the 4th VDI Racing Camp OWL.

From 14.06.-16-06. 2019 the Formula Student teams of numerous universities will start at the Race Camp with their racing cars. The training weekend will take place on the race track at Bilster Berg in Bad Driburg. By the test event all participating teams have the opportunity to put their prototypes through their paces.

The VDI Racing Camp OWL powered by norelem primarily serves the preparation for the international performance competitions of the Formula Student. In the run-up to the competitions, the teams can test their electric and combustion engines there under real conditions.

As additional highlights, the event offers workshops on lightweight construction, additive manufacturing, automated driving and soft skill topics.

Acceleration, handling, endurance - everything is demanded of the vehicles in the various dynamic disciplines. This enables errors to be corrected and fine tuned, the team to grow together and the drivers to gain practical experience.

But it is not only in the dynamic disciplines that testing takes place; the statics can also be tested.

There is also something for the spectators at this event. Everyone is cordially invited to come and marvel at the racing cars in the various racing disciplines.
