| In 1958 the french firm Petite Mécanique de Précision (PMP) became the company norelem SAS. This was the basis for founding the German branch in Stuttgart. At the beginning, norelem was known for precise and high quality products for measuring technology. Today, this small company has developed into one of the most renowned suppliers for standard parts and machine elements: norelem is now represented in eight countries worldwide and has a portfolio with over 38,000 products; 98% of them available ex stock. |
THE BIG GREEN BOOK |
| In 1972 norelem published its first product catalogue for standard elements. This quickly became a favourite of companies and technical colleges. Other catalogues followed, such those for modular machining, measuring technology, hydraulics and fixture construction. A major milestone in the company record was to bring all available products together in one main catalogue: THE BIG GREEN BOOK. This catalogue first appeared in 2003 and is today still the reference book for designers. |
