The "Keep on Running" team builds mini racing car

The "F1 in Schools" technology competition is an internationally renowned, interdisciplinary project that introduces students to technical and entrepreneurial tasks in the professional world.
In the course of this competition students work up a 20 cm long mini racing car that is designed on the computer and then cut from a balsawood block using a CNC router.
In "F1 in Schools" not only the development of the racing car is evaluated, but also the team's presentation, the administration of finances, the management, the design, the marketing and other elements. As one would expect, the speed of the mini racing car also plays a role, which is measured on a race track 20 metres long.
The dedication of the "Keep on Running" team from the Gymnasium Garenfeld in Hagen paid off in particular: The team was able to win the South Westphalian championship and to secure 1st place in the North Rhine-Westphalia championship as well. With two additional honours for the best portfolio and the best oral presentation the team was able to qualify for the German championships that took place at Hockenheimring at the beginning of May 2015. There they secured 7th place and received in addition the special honour of "Best Newcomer". Congratulations!
For three structurally identical cars for the championships and five test cars norelem provided the "Keep on Running" team with »Plain bearing with collar (23731-00801005), »Circlips for shafts (07330-080800) and »Loctite universal adhesive (97990-4010050) for free.
